Goldstripe fish

A common schooling fish with golden stripes that often appears in large groups. It is especially easy to recognize by its shiny longitudinal stripes that glimmer in the sunlight. Goldstripe fish feed mainly on algae and seagrass, playing an important role in the marine ecosystem. They are often found near the coast and are among the fish that divers around Cyprus can almost always see.
