What is the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor course in Cyprus?
The
The PADI Open Water Safety Instructor (OWSI) course is the second part of the PADI Integrated Development Course (IDC) and consists of several workshops and presentations. Successful completion of a PADI OWSI course qualifies you for the PADI Integrated Development Instructor (IE) certification.
PADI Assistant Instructors
You have already successfully completed a PADI Assistant Instructor course and now want to take the step to becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.
PADI Crossover from other organizations
Are you a diving instructor with another organization such as SSI, CMAS or RAID and would like to train others as a PADI diving instructor in the future? Then you must participate in a PADI OWSI course and subsequently complete the PADI IE.

How to switch to PADI - The process
As an existing diving instructor, you don't have to start from scratch. Your crossover path is efficient and practical:
1. PADI Materials
To learn the PADI system, you need the PADI Instructor Crew Pack. This includes all the cue cards and eLearning materials.
Price: €890
2. PADI EFR Materials
As a PADI diving instructor, you will also become an instructor for the PADI EFR (Emergency First Responder).
Price: €360
3. PADI OWSI course including accommodation
To transfer to PADI as a dive instructor from another organization, you no longer need to complete a full IDC, but only a PADI OWSI course. However, we always recommend completing a full IDC. We charge the same price whether you come for the OWSI program only or for the entire IDC.

4. PADI Examination (IE)
After completing the PADI Open Water Diver (OWSI) program, we will register you for the PADI exams (this takes 2 days). Upon passing the International Exam (IE), you will be part of the PADI family.
Price: €840 (Estimated price - paid directly to PADI)
5. Registration fees
Additional fees charged directly by PADI. These are estimated and may vary slightly depending on the location. PADI often offers special rates for crossover candidates. The standard fees are:

Specialty Instructor Applications: approx. €50 (per specialty)
