Sea turtle database

We identify sea turtles based on the pattern on the side of their face. This is the most non-invasive method of identification for sea turtles.

  • The left and right sides are not identical.

  • If possible, photos should be taken from the side at the same height.

  • Using AI, our database is scanned for matches.

  • The final identification is confirmed by us visually.

Our commitment to protecting the oceans

Divers play a vital role in marine conservation. Everyone who dives is also a voice for the ocean. Our fascinating stories from the underwater world help others understand why it's so important to protect the sea.
