Imagine this: instead of laboriously finning, you glide across the reef with an underwater scooter — faster, farther, and with far less effort. The PADI DPV Course teaches you exactly that: how to dive safely and efficiently with a Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV).

What You Will Learn in the Course​​

Safe DPV Handling: You will learn how an underwater scooter works, how to prepare it correctly, maintain it, and transport it safely.

DPV Dive Planning: Plan dives using a scooter — including buddy procedures, air and gas management, navigation, and safe ascents and descents.

Underwater DPV Skills: You will practice maneuvering with a DPV, controlled ascents and descents, proper buoyancy control, and the right techniques for various diving situations.

Problem Identification & Handling: The course includes how to deal with potential problems (e.g., scooter malfunctions) and how to react safely.
Our scooters
PADI DPV Course:​
Theory: You can complete the theory portion in advance using PADI eLearning.
​
Equipment: Diving equipment, DPV, tank, and weights are included in the course. You will complete the course using one of our five new Nemo DPVs from SUEX. If you bring your own BCD, make sure it has a crotch strap D-ring or a similar attachment point.
Diving: Two open-water dives with a DPV under the supervision of a PADI Instructor. You will practice handling, navigation, buddy procedures, and emergency scenarios.

With the PADI eLearning® system you can start with the theoretical part of the course and work at your own pace. This convenient, interactive learning option allows you to learn anytime, anywhere where you have an internet connection.

After completing your eLearning program, you can start directly with the practical part of the course with us (or in any other PADI diving school worldwide). We will deduct the amount paid for this from the course.
More information
We offer our courses in German, English, and French. We attach great importance to making you feel comfortable. We understand it's a big step. Therefore, we always keep our groups as small as possible so that we can take enough time for each one.
How do I get to you?
In front of the dive centre there are free parking spaces and a bus station is only a 2 minute walk away. We also offer transportation from your hotel in the Pernera, Protaras, and Agia Napa region for a small extra cost.
Do I need my own equipment?
No of course not. So you don't need to buy or bring any equipment. However, if you already have your own equipment, you can benefit from a discount on your course. With us, however, your equipment is included in the course price.
