Expand your skills - Discover new things
The PADI Advanced Open Water course allows you, as an already certified PADI Open Water Diver (or from another organization), to improve your underwater skills and participate in exciting new adventure dives such as wreck diving or underwater photography. As a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, you will primarily learn more about pressure and diving to depths of up to 30 meters, as well as underwater navigation.

Our PADI Advanced Open Water course consists of 5 dives:
With us, a PADI AOWD course usually lasts 2 to 3 days and includes 5 PADI Adventure dives.
Navigation dive:
During the Navigation Dive, you'll learn how to orient yourself underwater. There are basically two ways to do this. You'll learn how to use a compass underwater, how to measure distances, and how visual references can help with underwater navigation. We're very fortunate to usually have excellent visibility, which makes navigation a bit easier. This is a really interesting dive, as you get to guide your instructor through the dive site. ;-)
Deep dive:
As a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, you can dive to depths of up to 30 meters. This is probably the main reason why many people take the AOWD course. During this dive, we'll show you, through interesting experiments, the effects of underwater pressure on your body, as well as what you need to consider when planning a deep dive.
Dives 3, 4 and 5:
After the two mandatory adventure dives, you can choose from a wide variety of additional adventure dives. We generally recommend the buoyancy control dive and a night dive. However, we'd be happy to advise you personally at our dive center to help you select the perfect dives for you. You also have the opportunity to dive the world-famous Zenobia wreck during your PADI Advanced Open Water course. This wreck is one of the top five wrecks in the world. We can do two dives there (a deep dive and a wreck dive).
As a certified Advanced Open Water Diver, you are allowed to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters.
There's something for everyone.

Further information
We offer our courses in German, English, and French. We place great importance on your comfort, as we know it's a big step. For this reason, we also keep our groups as small as possible.
How do I get to you?
You have several options. There is free parking directly in front of our dive center, and a bus station is a 2-minute walk away. We can also pick you up from your accommodation in the Paralimni, Protaras, and Ayia Napa area. There is a small additional charge for this service.
What will I learn in the theory sessions, and is there an exam?
The theory component of the Advanced Open Water Diver course is relatively small. However, we still need to discuss some things. You'll primarily learn more about pressure and the physical properties of water. There are no written exams to pass in the Advanced Open Water Diver course.
Do I need my own equipment?
No, of course not. You don't need to buy or bring any equipment. However, if you already have your own equipment, you can benefit from a 10% discount on your course (applies to the base price). With us, though, all the equipment you need is included in the course price.
How deep can I dive as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver?
After completing your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver training, you are allowed to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters with a buddy.
With the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver course (12-14 years), the depth limit is 21 meters.
