Tamara discovered her passion for diving at the age of 26 and since then, the underwater world has been an inseparable part of her life. In 2020, she joined the Cyprus Diving Centre and has been involved in building it up from the very beginning.
As a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT), she guides divers on their journey - from their very first dive to professional level. She places great importance on a relaxed atmosphere, individual support, and, above all, the joy of learning.
In addition to recreational diving, technical diving is her personal passion, which she continues to pursue and develop in her free time.
Above the water, Tamara also brings in her creative side: at CDC, she is responsible for design, layout, and the dive shop - ensuring with great attention to detail that guests feel completely at home.

I trained as a draftsman in structural engineering (architectural drafter) and went on to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, after which I worked in the field. However, after a six-month journey, I discovered my passion for the sea.
I grew up in Romanshorn, in the canton of Thurgau on the beautiful Lake Constance in Switzerland. After my studies, I moved to Winterthur and worked in Zurich.
When I was planning my trip to Australia, one thing was clear: I definitely wanted to go diving there. My dive course was already booked, but things turned out differently - I randomly met Daniel, and before that I had spontaneously started diving in Cyprus, where I completed my PADI Open Water Diver.
In Australia, I continued straight away with many fun dives on the beautiful reefs. The more I experienced underwater, the stronger my passion for diving grew.
Later in Thailand, Daniel and I completed our PADI Divemaster together. After a shared season as divemasters in Cyprus, we went on to complete the PADI Instructor course - and shortly after, we founded our own dive centre together, the Cyprus Diving Centre.
There are so many special moments underwater that it’s hard to choose just one. As I love animals, encounters with large marine creatures are definitely among my highlights.
One experience that stands out in particular is meeting a whale shark in Thailand, as well as the moment in Fiji when I came face to face with a bull shark for the first time. I still remember clearly how fascinating its shimmering skin was - and those alert, curious eyes that reflected so much expression, very different from how they are often portrayed in films.
Since that experience, sharks have held a very special place in my heart.
